Seoul immigration Office has moved to Jonggak Station

A cold is brewing, so I would like to apologize in advance for the poor grammar, spelling and in general apathy of this post. This post mainly concerns people who live and teach in Seoul.

Every year, I get the opportunity to feel like I’m back in North America by heading down to the Seoul Immigration Office, and standing in line for hours upon hours, waiting for them to extend my Visa for another year. Today, I took my friend, and fellow blogger/Canuck Ariel down to the immigration office, which was located at Anguk station. However, it has moved to the Seoul Global Center near Jonggak Station. Below is the notice that is posted at the old location.

Now normally I wouldn’t post about this, but these Mickey Mouse directions fucking suck. Ariel and I were wandering around for a good twenty minutes before we finally found the place. I’m going to save you a lot of time, and advise not to walk there and instead, take a taxi to Jonggak station. The location is just outside exit 6. Walk straight and it’s the third building on your left called “Seoul Global Center”. It’s right next to the KT building.

As you can see it’s on the second and third floors. If you are renewing Visas, you want to go to the 2nd floor.

WORD OF ADVICE: This time of year get there early! We arrived at 1030 and we were number 263 in the queue, which was currently at 61 when I left Ariel (sorry buddy, I was feeling the cold) an hour later. Get there early, especially this time of year (September/March) when new arrivals are coming in.
