Good Times ROK Gapyeong Craft Beer Festival – I Love Beer, You Love Beer, We All Love Beer

Welcome to the First Annual Good Times ROK Gapyeong Beer Festival!

Once you surpass the initial (yet expected) trauma that is the ticketing line, brace yourself for a joyous day of fun, friendship, and craft beers. GTR did a great job of organizing the event which hosted over 2,000 people throughout the two day festival. Early bird tickets got you 4 beers for 10,000KRW and the ability to get buy sets of 3 more for another 10,000KRW. Late-comers could always buy 2 for the standard 10,000KRW. Obviously, the early bird is the way to go, but still, 5,000KRW for a craft is unreal. ESPECIALLY at a festival. Live a ways out? Set up your tent and spend the night!

It was a beautiful day outside Cheongpyeong station. The sun was shining, the beer was flowing, the smiles were bountiful. Set up with about 20 beer vendors, many serving food as well, no one was lacking in options. Overwhelmed? Many hometown favorites such as Magpie and Revolucion were represented as well! The space itself was large enough to hold the entire event without feeling overcrowded, while still providing the festival atmosphere we all miss and yearn for back in the good ol’ western hemisphere. Nice river behind the stage to take a break and take in the beauty of getting outside of Seoul as well, if even for just the day. Live music was playing all day to set the mood from drunken to debaucherous well into the night.
